Research Vision
We live in an era of unprecedented global change where ecosystems are being rapidly altered. As such, organisms are faced with potentially novel trade-offs and may need to quickly adapt to rapid ecosystem changes to survive. I research and aim to better understand how multiple environmental factors (e.g., land use, climate change, and invasive species) can affect lake and reservoir ecosystems on multiple spatial and temporal scales. Freshwaters provide essential ecosystem services, and thus it is critical to quantify how global change may alter their internal processing, biological communities, and water quality.
